- Can I run SandStorm from the command line?
Yes, SandStorm components can be executed from the command line.
- When should I start load testing with SandStorm?
The earlier load testing starts in the application development process, the earlier architectural problems or software defects will be found. It is imperative that load testing start as early as possible once a stable build for an application is released.
- Can I record against a flash object? If yes How?
No, SandStorm does not support recording against a flash object.
- Can I record against an applet?
Yes
- How do I set up a test so that the number of VUsers remains constant after reaching x transactions per second?
This can be achieved by creating 'Goal Oriented Scenario'. For more details, please refer the 'SandStorm User Manual'
- Where can I find more information on SandStorm?

- How can I schedule an unattended test in SandStorm Console?
The present version of SandStorm does not support the scheduling of unattended tests.
- How can I send an email to alert user of some issues that might be encountered in a test?
It can be done by setting up specific transaction rules while creation of a scenario.
- Can I increase the load size without restarting the test?
It’s not possible to add Vusers in the scenario while execution of a test. However, it’s possible to increase the load while test execution by properly scheduling the ramp-up of Vusers.
- Can I view the statistics while the test is running?
Yes, you can see the statistics in the form of real time graphs.
- Can SandStorm record Apps that include AJAX?
Yes
- How can I parameterize a form value in SandStorm?
It can be done by using Dynamic Parameterization feature of SandStorm.
- How many Vusers could be generated from one machine?
Normally for a 1GB RAM machine, with 1 operating system installed, we are able to spawn 700-720 virtual users
- Can I use SandStorm to run End-to-end load tests?
Yes
- Can I use SandStorm to run Component-level stress tests?
Yes
- Does SandStorm saturate the network?
No
